BOPS VOLLEYBALL TEAM LOSE 1-2 VS SCG SNAPSHOTS AT THE HANOVER YMCA
BOPS returned to the V-ball courts for week #10 of 12 of the 2008 Fall Season at the Hanover YMCA. BOPS took on SGN Snapshots this week from the B division and the night started well, then went south. BOPS took one game out of three. The finals were 25-15, 12-25, 15-25. BOPS hold 7th place out of 8 teams in the B Division with a 7-23 record. Next week the team will look to get back to their winning ways.

The BOPS Dart Team were back for week #9 of 12 of the 2008 Fall Season and they pulled off a big 10-5 win over team Paridise Shooters at the Bairs Den. BOPS continue to hold 2nd place out of 5 teams with a 65-40 record. Next week the team will look to continue their winning ways as they will AIM TO PLEASE.

BOPS took on Country Side Auto this week from the B division and held them close, but scored 3 L's once again. The finals were 14-25, 17-25, 14-25. BOPS fall one position to 7th place out of 8 teams in the B Division with a 6-18 record. Next week the team will look to get back to their winning ways as they take on closely related George Neiderer Pools from the B division.

BOPS returned to the V-ball courts for week #5 of the 2008 Fall Season at the Hanover YMCA. BOPS took on Spiked Punch this week from the B division and it was one for the record books. BOPS took all 3 games for the first time in 3 years. The finals were 25-16(BOPS), 25-18(BOPS), 25-22(BOPS). BOPS moved up to 6th place out of 8 teams in the B Division with a 6-9 record. Next week the team will look to continue their winning ways as they take on Off In A Corner from the A division.

BOPS RACING - TIM DIETZ RETURNS TO THE 18D
Tim Dietz of Hanover, PA will return back into the famous number 18d 600cc Micro Sprint. The reunited Dietz Racing Team will again be racing throughout central Pennsylvania for the 2009 racing season and beyond.

In 2006, Tim Dietz began racing the #9 for Little’s Racing Team, under the direction of Dan Little, for whom he earned two track championships at Hill Valley Speedway. After three successful years, Dan and Tim mutually decided to part ways and move onto other opportunities. The BOPS Golf Team shot the back 9 on Wednesday evening at the Bridges for the season ending Team Scramble Challenge. Brett Keeney, Eric Willet , Jeremy Noel and Dan Arter combined to shot 6 under par, just 2 strokes away from away from taking the first place prize money. BOPS walked away finishing in 2nd place while collecting $76.00 which went towards the league fees and well...some grub and coldies afterwords.

The BOPS Volleyball team typically heads from the YMCA hardwood courts to the sand counts at the Old Mill in New Oxford for the summer, but not this year. Players work, school and vacation schedules have restricted the team from playing. The team will relax for the summer months and then return to action at the YMCA in the Fall.

The BOPS rolled their carts around on the front 9 on Wednesday evening at the Bridges for week #7 of the 2008 season. Al (Scooter) Kuhn, Jr. lost 2-8 in the A position. Andrew Rucker won 7 to 3 in the B position. Dave Rentsel won 6 to 4 in the C position and Eric Willet lost 4.5 to 5.5 in the D position. BOPS had a great night on the course and it was down to the wire, but came up short in the end. BOPS slip to 3-4 overall on the season and continue to hold the 11th place out of 16 total teams.

BOPS headed into the first round of playoffs on Tuesday night VS the #1 Team Jerry and Sal's at the Hanover YMCA. Team Jerry and Sal's, a past Power league Champ team made it a very uncomfortable match-up. BOPS played their best, but the finals were 25-11, 25-9. BOPS finished out the 2008 Spring season in 8th place out of 8 teams with a 2-19 record.

Doug Meckley won 6 to 4 in the C position and Dave Rentsel lost 4.5 to 5.5 in the D position. BOPS took on Top Shelf this week which were a past Power league team so it was lined up to be a very tough match-up. BOPS played their best game of the season and managed to pull out one victory. The finals were 25-23, 25-27, 23-25. BOPS continue to stay in 8th place out of 8 teams with a 2-19 record. Next week the team will be in round one of a single elimination tournament to wrap up the 2008 Spring Season.

The BOPS Golf Team tried out the front 9 at the Bridges for week #5 of the 2008 season. Doug Meckley lost 1.5 to 8.5 in the A position. Jeremy Noel lost 2.5 to 7.5 in the B position. Andrew Rucker Lost 3.5 to 6.5 in the C position and Dave Rentsel Won 7 to 3 in the D position. BOPS continues to stay above 500 this season with a 3-2 overall record and currently hold the 5th place out of 16 total teams.

BOPS hit the courts once again and took on SGC Snapshots which were a past Advanced league team so it was another good match-up. BOPS played hard and had some good moments and some bad. In the end they fell short 25-14, 25-19, 25-14. BOPS continue to stay in 8th place out of 8 teams with a 1-17 record. The team has 1 weeks that remain in the Spring 2008 season. BOPS DART TEAM SWEEP 15-0 AT THE BAIRS DEN AND FINISH 3RD IN 2008 SPRING SEASON
The BOPS Dart Team really turned on the heat on the last half of the 2008 Spring Season and won a ton of games. They had 21 make-up games this week from a previously snow postponed match. BOPS needed to win 17 games to take over 2nd to finish out the season. The team as always AIM TO PLEASE and shot the series of a lifetime beating the Scrubbing Bubbles 15-0 on their home turf The Bairs Den. With 6 games left to make up with the Moosekateers, BOPS only needed 4 or more wins to secure 2nd place. While waiting to play, the team was informed that one of the players of the Moosekateers suffered a stroke earlier that day and the team would not be able to play. The league commissioner granted 3 wins to each team. Since the Moosekateers were the current 2nd place team, the wins were not enough for BOPS to take over second place. BOPS Dart Captain Gabe Plunkert said after the games, "In my 7 years of darts, I've never been a part of a 15-0 win and we're very proud of that accomplishment. On the other hand, we are very saddened by the Moosekateer player that suffered a stroke. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family." BOPS officially finished the season in 3rd place in the C Division. The will take a little break and then will return to the boards for the 2008 summer league.

BOPS GOLF TEAM WIN 22-18 VS A DAY IN PARADISE AT THE BRIDGES
The BOPS Golf Team returned to the back 9 at the Bridges for week #4 of the 2008 season. Doug Meckley lost 6.5-3.5 in the A position. Jeremy Noel won 6.5-3.5 in the B position. Dave Rentsel Lost 6.5-3.5 in the C position and Dan Arter Won 8.5-1.5 in the D position. BOPS has started off great this season with a 3-1 overall record and currently hold the 6th place out of 16 total teams.

BOPS VOLLEYBALL TEAM LOSE 3-0 TO COUNTRY SIDE AUTO AT THE HANOVER YMCA
Last night BOPS took on Country Side Auto which were a past Advanced league team so it was a good match-up. BOPS was 2 star players short again, but held their own as best as possible again. In the end they fell short 25-9, 25-11, 25-9. BOPS continue to stay in 8th place out of 8 teams with a 1-14 record. The team has 2 weeks that remain in the Spring 2008 season. Both weeks are non-league counting matches.

BOPS CELEBRATES 7 YEARS - 2001-2008
Today is April 17, 2008 and exactly 7 years ago today BOPS was officially organized. It all went down at the old 349 and it will be a day never to forget. This year as a celebration, we've launched our new site. We figured it was time to step it up a notch or two. WE'RE BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER
BOPSONLINE has been down for a few weeks now, but We're Back and Better than Ever. Welcome to the completely re-designed web site. Our old site has been tossed out the door and we've started over from scratch. Many sections are still under construction, but will be up and running in the next fews days. We'll let you know when sections have been opened. Some items from the old site will not be carried over to the new. BOPS DART TEAM WIN BIG AT THE BAIRS DEN AND CONTINUE TO CLIMB THE STANDINGS
The BOPS Dart Team continue their winning ways. They beat the Colonials this week 10-5 on their home turf The Bairs Den. BOPS started the season as low as 6th place out of 6 teams and have climbed up into the 3rd spot and looking to take over 2nd place before heading into the playoffs.

BOPS GOLF TEAM LOSE 23.5-16.5 TO HERF JONES AT THE BRIDGES
The Golf Team hit up the front side of the Bridges for week #3 of the 2008 season. The previous 2 weeks before BOPS walked away with wins and they hoped to continue that streak, but in the end they came up short. Doug Meckley lost 7.5-2.5 in the A position. Dave Rentsel won 5.5-4.5 in the B position. Andrew Rucker tied 5-5 in the C position and Dan Arter lost 7.5-3.5 in the D position. The team is currently in 4th place out of 18 total teams.

BOPS VOLLEYBALL TEAM LOSE 3-0 TO UPPER DECK AT THE HANOVER YMCA
The BOPS Volleyball Team continues to struggle when it comes to winning at the Hanover YMCA. Once a Championship caliper team, now a team lucky to pick up a win. The past 2 seasons at the North Hanover Courts, the Power League and Advanced Leagues were combined. For BOPS, an Advanced Team for 7 years now it is a struggle to match up against the teams in the Power division that bring previous local High School and College stars onto the hardwood. BOPS still manage to have a good time and in the end can improve by playing these teams, but it will just take some time and a lot of consistency. Last night BOPS took on Upper deck which were a past Advanced league team so it was a good match-up. BOPS being 2 star players short held their own as best as possible but fell short in the end 25-20, 25-11, 25-23. BOPS are currently in 8th place out of 8 teams with a 1-11 record. They hope to improve in the last 3 weeks that remain in the Spring 2008 season.
